School Policies

As a student I will…

Arrive each day on time, wearing school uniform and with the right things, so that I am ready for the day.
Keep to the school, playground and my own classroom rules.
Do my best and take pride in my work at school and home.
Listen politely to other people’s views.
Remember to say “please”, “thank you” and “sorry”.
Keep myself and the school tidy.
Always tell somebody if I am worried or upset about something.
Treat others as I would like them to treat me.

Ensure that my child arrives at school on time, in their uniform and ready to learn at school.
Take an interest in my child’s education, encouraging hard work and achievement.
Make quiet times to listen to my child.
Help my child to learn the skills of talking through their problems, without shouting.
Make sure that the teacher knows about any home circumstances that may affect how my child acts at school.
Attend parents’ evenings and meetings.
Encourage my child to complete homework on time and to the best of their ability.
Support the school’s Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Policies.

Encourage children to work hard to achieve their full potential.
Provide a safe and caring environment.
Welcome parents to the school and give you information about your child’s progress.
Provide a broad and balanced curriculum to meet children’s individual needs.
Set homework and provide a range of extra curricular activities for the children to extend their learning.
Encourage children to take care of their surroundings and members of the community.
Respond sensitively to particular situations.
Regularly recognise their achievements and progress.
